Chinese Knots

Just picked up learning how to tie Chinese Knots. Hmm... honestly its quite fund but intensive work. Will try and see if i can come up with some designs using this methods.

Launch of my ETSY store

Hi all

I have just launched my ETSY store. To celebrate the launch of my store. I am selling all my Glass Pendant Series for USD12.90 each. Plus as a bonus to say thank you, if you buy 2 or more items from the Glass Pendant Series, you only need to pay for shipping of 1 item.

The pendant series is a celebration of my travels. During my travels, i collected such glass knick knacks from street bazaars and markets. I have decided to share by turing these pieces into unique necklaces to bring their unique charm to people.

I love to create such pieces and I have been doing such items as gifts and private request for wedding and dinner partied. Heading my friends advice, I decided to sell my wares online. It was a big step for me but with the support of my children, i decide to do it.

Heliopolis Series

I came up with the Heliopolis series because I wanted a new look to the traditional pearl necklace. So i decided to give it a new twist. I drew inspiration from my son's science text book. I came a cross the human DNA and the helix. That's when it hit me. Can i combine something the helix with the traditional pearl necklace. After several designs, I came up with the Heliopolis series.

In the series a helix made of aluminium hold the faux pearls. This was the key design for my series. I have a line of earrings, bracelets and necklaces utilizing this concept and below are some of the pictures.





The pearls are encased in the aluminium helix giving a new twist to the traditional pearl necklace. Two contrasting coloured faux pearls are used to add another dimension to it.
